Welcome to Sunday Reflections ☕
For new subscribers, welcome to our twice monthly gathering! This is our intimate and friendly space for community and accountability. And the last Sunday of the month (that’s today) is always a juicy one.
How it works
On two Sundays each month I pose a prompt or question which we discuss (and say hi) in the comments. Topics tend to cover self-empowerment and personal growth and these regular check-ins allow us to share our wisdoms and get to know ourselves and the other members of the A Day Well Spent community better.
Feel free to have a browse through previous Sunday Reflections to get an idea of the stuff we talk about.
Before we begin, the March round-up
In case you missed them, here are all my published pieces from the month in one handy list.
…by maximising your ‘doing’ time.
I have a confession. I am a late riser, spend the first two hours of my day doing ‘nothing’ and yet – more often than not – I manage to get most of my to do list done.
I share the 15 tools, prompts and mindsets that help me do this.
2. Why my body is my best friend
And why I love her, which feels like a radical thing to say.
I attempt to explain this via the medium of lichen (the stuff that grows on tree bark and rock faces), naturally.
3. Want to eat more fermented foods but don’t know where to start?
Try the fermented yoghurt-like drink kefir, it takes less than a minute to prepare yourself.
I share how — and why — I make and consume this delicious and versatile food, packed with probiotics and nutrients, every day.
I am thrilled several of you have taken up the kefir grains discount code in this and have already started making kefir — I am so impressed!
4. Why I am choosing a slower life
This comes to you thanks to
. Kirsten and I have recently connected over shared values and as a result, we had this wonderful conversation about why I left the rat race to pursue a slower life. And how — as an experiment and to prove a point — I didn’t do any work in an old corporate job for a whole year.
5. What’s the best case scenario?
‘What’s the worst the could happen? What’s the worst case scenario?’ — is this you?
Ever held the same space for the other end of the spectrum and asking: what's the best case scenario?
“If you want a different result in your life, do the opposite of what you would normally do.”
A big WELCOME to new community members
Should you join this community and leave a message when doing so, it would be a lovely thing to read and I’ll be sure to share it in these monthly round-ups.
Welcome to Candi, Erika and all other March new joiners! I am also loving the term ‘Leyla lurkers’.
