💬 Sunday Reflections #16 (new beginnings)
Plus an eventful story from yesterday's Tuscan forest hike involving a bird - it left me quite emotional

Hi friends and happy Sunday! Today’s reflections come to you from Sorano, an ancient medieval hill town hanging impossibly from tuff stone over the Lente River in Tuscany. I have a couple of days left of a week-long hiking trip that started in Umbria, passed through some of Lazio and has me finishing in Tuscany. There’s been a lot of walking, eating, local wine and sunshine - just how I like it.
(I will of course be sharing what I got up to over this past week — including where I visited, stayed and ate — in a piece for subscribers, coming soon!)
Yesterday’s hike was… eventful! More on that below in the usual my week well spent in 5 which always round off these Sunday posts (and I love reading yours too!).
But today I’m hiking from Sorano to Sovana and look forward to reading your thoughts from today’s reflections this afternoon. Ideally with an aperitivo in hand.
Welcome to Sunday Reflections ✨
For new subscribers, welcome to our weekly gathering! This is our intimate and friendly space for community and accountability.
How it works
Each Sunday I pose a prompt or question which we discuss (and say hi) in the comments. Topics often cover self-empowerment and personal growth and these weekly check-ins allow us to get to know ourselves and the other members of the A Day Well Spent community better.
Feel free to have a browse through previous Sunday Reflections to get an idea of the stuff we talk about, which include monthly New Moon intention setting.
ICYMI
Thursday’s post was the second instalment of 5 of my favourite brands doing good - a peek into my little black book of businesses I choose to spend my money with based on hours (and hours) of research.
And the New Moon for this lunar month fell only two days ago on Friday, so it’s not too late to ask yourself ‘what am I ready to invite in for this lunar month?’ and note a few intentions down, the prompt in last week’s Sunday Reflections.
As always thank you all for being here and I am so looking forward to today’s chat!
Sunday is for awakening the mind, body and spirit 🧘
Today’s topic: the points in our lives that signify, or have signified, new beginnings and fresh starts
