Hi all and happy Sunday! It’s that glorious time of the month again - full of possibility and anticipation - where we embrace the start of a new lunar cycle with the New Moon, which falls this week 🌚
Which means we’ll be using today’s Sunday Reflections to set our intentions for this upcoming lunar cycle and asking ourselves, “what am I ready to invite in?”.
Is this your first time joining our monthly New Moon intention setting?
If so, welcome! It’s one of my favourite times of the month. So many readers are already achieving so much with these monthly accountability meet-ups, I am feeling quite proud of them all! And we would be delighted if you wanted to join in.
If you would like to find out what New Moon intention setting is, how to do it and how we do it here on A Day Well Spent, have a read of this post which answers all these. Then you can head back here.
ICYMI
Thursday’s post was all about the unceasingly amazing medicinal power of plants and how they literally save lives, something that’s really piquing my interest recently. It’s available for everyone to read and enjoy — and share with others!
Some other recent posts you won’t want to miss include the practice that helps me fulfil my potential (something I’ve done every Friday for four years and it changed everything) and solo travel: here’s why - and how - I do it.
As well as last week’s Sunday Reflections where I shared some thoughts on my first 3 months on Substack - it’s been a ride! Readers were also invited to ask me anything.
The questions are now closed — sorry if you missed out on asking one. But you can still read through the ones that are there and my answers. I really enjoyed responding to them. Thank you to everyone who took part!
Some thoughts on the week
I’ve had quite a heavily desk-based week (and worked through the weekend) as I’m heading to Italy for a week-long hiking holiday in a couple of days and had a lot of loose ends to tie up before I go.
But I am so looking forward to it - the Tuscan air, food and scenery! And I will of course share my favourite bits with you all when I’m back (fear not, posts will remain uninterrupted during this time).
In the process, however, I have come to realise September really isn’t the best time of year for me to be going on holiday. There is so much seasonal work to do with regards to foraging, preserving and gardening (a lot of work, but my favourite kind of work) - it is harvest time after all. But all is well, lesson learnt for next year!
As always thank you all for being here and I am so looking forward to hearing about your intentions for the month ahead.
Now let’s begin.
Welcome to Sunday Reflections
For new subscribers, welcome to our weekly gathering! This is our intimate and friendly space for community and accountability.
How it works
Each Sunday I pose a prompt or question which we discuss (and say hi) in the comments. Topics often cover self-empowerment and personal growth and these weekly check-ins allow us to get to know ourselves and the other members of the A Day Well Spent community better.
Feel free to have a browse through previous Sunday Reflections to get an idea of the stuff we talk about, which include monthly New Moon intention setting (what we’re doing today).
As always thank you all for being here and I am so looking forward to today’s chat.
Sunday is for awakening the mind, body and spirit 🧘
