Welcome to A Day Well Spent, for people seeking pathways to purposeful living! If you’ve stumbled upon this post by chance and are not yet subscribed, allow me to help you with that - just enter your email here. Doing so will ensure you never miss my twice weekly posts (Thursdays and Sundays).

Next Sunday will be the first Ask Me Anything

Hi all and happy Sunday! Before we begin today’s reflections, I wanted to share that next week is the 1st September which marks the 3 month anniversary of A Day Well Spent (already, I know!).

It’s kind of incredible how this newsletter has grown from a readership of zero to over 2000 in that short amount of time. A Day Well Spent is currently read across 46 US States and 76 countries from Peru and New Zealand to Ethiopia and Pakistan - it means so much to have you all here!

To celebrate this little anniversary, next Sunday’s reflections (3rd September) will be a special one — it will be the first Ask Me Anything.

You will have the chance to ask me absolutely anything (within reason) and I will do my best to answer it.

Some ideas of what you might want to ask me

You might want to find out about my TV stuff. For example, I often get asked about the behind the scenes of MasterChef (here’s more about what I do) - people always want to know if the food is cold! Or maybe you want to know more about my career background and how I got to where I am today, or why I started this Substack.

You might have questions about some of the topics I’ve written about here (you can take a look at the archive), such as the 5 life mantras responsible for my success, the power of self-reliance, how I grew this Substack from zero to ‘bestseller’ in 5 weeks or my ultimate anti-aging beauty secret.

You might want to ask for my advice, guidance, opinion or thoughts on something you are working on or thinking about. Or even what I think the meaning of life is (I have an answer to that).

Either way, you have a week to think of a question.

I am hoping there will be lots of juicy questions as it will be some time before I do another one of these - I am so looking forward to it!

ICYMI

Thursday’s post was a 48 hour guide to Cork in Ireland - a very beautiful corner of the world.

And this list of my favourite spots in Lisbon has had a lot of traction over the past week thanks to people following the guide whilst there and sharing it on various socials, which is so lovely to see.

There’s been quite a lot of travel related content recently; summer tends to be a travel heavy time of the year. But don’t worry, this isn’t turning into a travel newsletter!

Back to this week

For new subscribers, welcome to the weekly Sunday Reflections! This is an intimate and friendly space for community and accountability.

How it works

Each Sunday I pose a prompt or question which we discuss (and say hi) in the comments. Topics often cover self-empowerment and personal growth and these weekly check-ins allow us to get to know ourselves and the other members of the A Day Well Spent community better.

Feel free to have a browse through previous Sunday Reflections to get an idea of the stuff we talk about, which include monthly New Moon intention setting.

Before we begin

I’d like to share these lovely words about our weekly Sunday Reflections from

- I would echo ‘what a community'. You guys are the best!

As always thank you all for being here and I am so looking forward to today’s chat.

Sunday is for awakening the mind, body and spirit 🧘
