The 5 life mantras responsible for my success

I’m a big fan of mantras and affirmations. I write them into my daily gratitude journal, quotes that inspire others are some of my favourite things to read and I was recently given a pack of positive affirmation flashcards - it’s one of my most favourite gifts.

I love the way a powerful short string of words can trigger a whole new way of thinking, being and viewing the world. I collect these expressions like a magpie collects shiny trinkets.

But there are five mantras in particular that have steered the course of my life for years, ones I strive to live by on a daily basis. I’ve had numbers 1, 2 and 3 written on post-it notes stuck to my desktop monitor for a long time - photo for proof.

I call them mantras because they are phrases I repeat to myself often, especially during times of self-doubt or inaction. They come from various sources including books and random readings (none are from the pack of affirmation cards, as much as I enjoy them).

I find these trusted mantras intensely potent, commanding and impactful and I attribute a lot of where I am today to striving to live according to these wisdoms.
