Hi! This is Leyla from A Day Well Spent, a newsletter seeking pathways to more purposeful living. If you’re reading this by chance - welcome! You can enter your email below to ensure you never miss my twice weekly posts (Thursdays and Sundays):
Welcome to Sunday Reflections ☕
For new subscribers, welcome to our weekly gathering! This is our intimate and friendly space for community and accountability.
How it works
Each Sunday I pose a prompt or question which we discuss (and say hi) in the comments. Topics tend to cover self-empowerment and personal growth and these weekly check-ins allow us to share our wisdoms and get to know ourselves and the other members of the A Day Well Spent community better.
Feel free to have a browse through previous Sunday Reflections to get an idea of the stuff we talk about, which include monthly New Moon intention setting.
ICYMI
Thursday’s post was a sort of confession / admission of something I don’t do — that many might feel we’re all supposed to do — that I’ve wanted to write about for some time, but been a bit apprehensive about.
I had hoped (assumed?) I wasn’t alone with it and — taking the advice from lots of other great writers on here — I wrote something I knew I would want to read.
It turns out, it did resonate.
I wrote about why I don’t consume any news and haven’t done for four years.
And this time last week we asked ourselves ‘what do I want to invite in this month?’, coming up with and sharing some of our New Moon intentions.
I have found the power of this monthly practice to be quite significant and it has delighted me no end to welcome a number of new participants this month!
Before we begin
Today’s post is coming to you from Lisbon where I’m here with my family to celebrate my brother turning 30! (they all say hi 👋). As regular readers will know, Lisbon is one of my favourite European cities and this is my 5th visit.
For those of you who might not have been around back when I wrote it in August, I shared 10 of my favourite spots in Lisbon — we’ve visited most of these again over the past few days!
Sunday is for awakening the mind, body and spirit 🧘
Now let’s begin.
